As the name implies eVISIONomics is about creating powerful visions and enjoying the economic returns from making the effort. Economic return does not necessarily have to be monetary – it can come in many forms.  We will be creating these visions through a series of short and often fun mental exercises. When your mind has a clear vision or goal etched into it many interesting things begin to happen. Your thoughts become focused, your energy goes up and your subconscious works overtime to try and find ways for you to move from Point A where you are now towards Point B where you want to arrive. If your vision is fuzzy, your mind does not know how to respond. If your vision is so clear that it seems like you are already there your mind becomes an insanely powerful force. The trick is that your energy needs to become focused.

Consider a small river that meanders down a mountain. It falls and then flattens out and then falls again.  In some parts it gurgles and in other parts it quickly ripples over the rocks. It turns out that if you put a small pipe in the middle of this stream, allow water to flow through it and then to drop a couple hundred feet of elevation that the water comes out the bottom of the pipe with an exponentially powerful force. In fact this force is so powerful it can be used to drive a good size power generator equipped with a Pelton wheel. A Pelton wheel is a round device equipped with a series of small cups that catch the water and spin the generator. We are going to do the same thing by taking a portion of your continuous thought process and focus it in on a goal with explosive force.

More than likely you have in the past tried something like this and failed. “Eliminate all negative thoughts in your mind is a common hue and cry.” Sorry, but I don’t believe that is possible. This is akin to telling a professional basketball player that he must make every free throw shot.  It has not happened yet.  Most people would consider me a fairly positive person but I confess that I still on occasion have cynical, negative and even, ouch, dare I say it, vindictive thoughts. It is very possible, though, to filter this type of chatter in your mind, pull out the positive thoughts and do some thing useful with them.
